Job summary

CubCrafters, Inc. is seeking a CNC Lathe Operator in Yakima, WA to set up, operate, and monitor Haas CNC turning equipment for precision aircraft components. You will ensure parts meet engineering specifications and production schedules.

The role requires reading drawings, performing in-process inspections, and maintaining quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Competitive hourly pay and benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one year CNC machining or CNC lathe experience preferred.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC turning centers, preferably Haas.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated reliability and regular attendance.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive hand/arm movements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Haas CNC lathe machines to produce precision components.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, setup sheets and process specifications.
• Verify machine settings, tooling, offsets, and program parameters prior to production.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, thread gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Monitor machine performance and make offset adjustments as required to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Identify and report quality concerns, tooling issues, equipment malfunctions, and process improvement opportunities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company 5S principals and safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
