Job summary

Modern Machinery of Beaverton seeks a skilled CNC Operator/Machinist in Beaverton, MI to produce parts for thermoforming machinery, operating Haas mills and lathes safely and accurately.

You will read blueprints, set up machines, measure parts with calipers, and collaborate with the team to hit production goals while maintaining clean, safe work areas.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience operating CNC machines, preferably Haas equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong math skills including fractions, angles, and conversions.
• Good communication and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate Haas CNC mills, lathes, and other shop equipment to machine parts to specification.
• Produce accurate, consistent, and high‑quality parts from production drawings.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards to the Shop Supervisor.
• Read blueprints and cut lists to determine machining requirements.
• Use measuring tools to verify part accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area following shop standards.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
• Assist in other departments as needed to support operations.
