Job summary

Chromalox is seeking a CNC Operator, Lathe (1st shift) to prepare and set up machines for fabricating highly precision‑machined parts. You will operate turning centers and milling centers, verify tolerances, and document actions to ensure quality and traceability.

You will read blueprints and calibration tools, set up equipment per drawings, and perform quality checks with precision instruments. A sign-on bonus of $1,000 is offered for qualified candidates and the pay range is $20.00–$30.00 per

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to read calipers, micrometers, indicators, edge finder and blueprints.
Basic understanding of CNC controls and cutting tools.
Basic mechanical skills.
Ability to deburr and handle parts to customer requirements.
Work independently.
Safety/quality minded.
Organized and detail oriented.
Able to communicate effectively with employees, departments and management.
Self-starter and responsible for actions.

Responsibilities

Fabricates highly precision-machined parts by operating turning centers and milling centers per work orders, routers & blueprints.
Set-up close tolerance and conventional equipment by studying drawings, samples, blueprints, and manuals, installing computerized instructions.
Documents actions by signing-off and completing forms, reports, logs and records.
Performs quality tests and operational checks.
Verifies parts by using precision measuring equipment.
May be assigned additional tasks as needed.
