Job summary

VULCAN is a precision engineering, manufacturing, and machining company seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist for our Mansfield, TX facility. You will machine high-quality components to engineering drawings using live tooling, while maintaining strict adherence to QA processes and calibration standards.

Responsibilities include in-process inspections, tool setup, troubleshooting, and ensuring a clean, safe work environment. Schedule: Mon–Thu, 4:15pm–2:30am with a 5% night shift premium.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years' experience operating lathe turning centers with live tooling.
• Technical program certificate or degree preferred.
• Ability to understand G and M code and read drawings.
• Familiar with precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and GD&T symbols.

Responsibilities

• Meet production standards for machined parts and communicate issues.
• Perform in-process inspections and ensure part quality.
• Adhere to QAP documentation and ensure tools/calibration are current.
• Read programs and understand operation sequence to produce quality parts.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and support maintenance when needed.
