Koester Corporation, located in Napoleon, Ohio, is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our growing machine shop. We’re a custom manufacturer that values challenging setups, problem solving, and precision parts.

The shop recently invested in two Haas ST25Y lathes with live tooling to expand capabilities. You will set up and operate CNC lathes, read blueprints, GD&T, and customer specs, and select tooling and fixtures.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC lathe setup experience in a job shop environment.
• Ability to independently set up jobs from a print.
• Strong blueprint reading skills; Haas controls experience preferred.
• Mastercam experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of G&M code editing.
• Comfortable holding tolerances from ±.001″ to ±.005″; own basic measuring tools.
• Positive attitude and willingness to help the team succeed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes to machine precision parts from customer drawings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications.
• Select tooling, fixtures, and workholding for each job.
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet print requirements and customer expectations.
• Work with programmers, engineering, and other machinists to solve manufacturing challenges.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
