Job summary

Avalign Technologies in Mentor, OH is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist for a 3rd shift. The role involves setting up and operating CNC lathes, reading blueprints, and ensuring parts meet tight tolerances for medical implants.

You will inspect parts with precision tools, perform routine machine maintenance, and document production activities while collaborating with engineering and quality teams to optimize processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification a plus.
• Minimum 3 years operating and setting up CNC Lathe machines; minimum 1 year reading blueprints.
• Minimum 1 year of GD&T experience with micrometers, calipers and gauges.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and troubleshoot Star CNC Swiss machines to produce precision implants.
• Perform offsets, tool changes and adjustments to maintain tight tolerances.
• Read blueprints and setup sheets to ensure parts meet specs.
• Inspect machined parts with micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Maintain PMs and document production activities and logs.
• Follow ID and traceability procedures and support process improvements.
