Job summary

Tube Service Company in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Laser Operator to ensure daily setup, operation and on-time production of defect-free tubes on CNC laser tube cutting machines. The role includes assisting other operators with housekeeping, maintenance, and material staging.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to read drawings.
• Ability to inspect laser-cut parts with precision inspection equipment.
• Ability to work well as a team member.
• Safety conscious behavior.
• Excellent attendance and reliable transportation
• Ability to complete the laser operator training and pass the laser safety exam.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily startup and shutdown procedures on CNC tubelaer cutting machines.
• Stage raw materials at each work-center for the day's production.
• Load and unload machines.
• Maintain daily dust collector service in assigned area and report equipment deficiencies.
• Ensure production schedule follow through as allocated by the scheduling department.
• Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of cutting equipment and work area in accordance with company standards and manufacturers machine recommendations.
• Facilitate work-order paper flow in accordance with ISO quality standards.
• Check and package parts in accordance with ISO standards if required.
• Monitor assist gas level supply requirements for daily production.
