Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience operating CNC laser cutting machines such as Trumpf or Amada.
• Select and set up lenses based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters for optimal performance.
• Knowledge about shield gases used during laser cutting operations.
• Proven measurement and decimal/fraction conversion skills.
• Ability to distinguish material types (Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Copper, Brass).
• Proficient in reading a tape measure (both standard and metric).
• Outstanding punctuality and attendance required.
• Ability to follow directions and work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Complete production records using a computer format to maintain cost, efficiencies, inventory and integrity.
• Establish proper stop location and adjust laser beam focal point.
• Load sheet/plate material onto table using jib crane and sheet lifter.
• Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.
• Remove cut parts from skeleton and deburr edges as needed.
• Perform prescribed maintenance and inspections.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe housekeeping practices.
