Job summary

Sandvik Coromant in Westminster, SC is seeking a Utility Operator to support OD and Centerless Grinding, producing high-quality carbide tools through CNC setup, operation and monitoring.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong math and measurement skills essential.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret specs.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to quality.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Experience operating manufacturing equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC grinding machines and apply offsets as needed.
• Read blueprints, drawings and tool specifications accurately.
• Program and operate grinding equipment to specification.
• Inspect tools using precision measuring methods.
• Verify product quality throughout manufacturing and finish.
• Report quality concerns to programmers or supervisors.
• Perform daily machine checks and basic maintenance.
• Maintain safe, organized work area and follow ISO standards.
• Support continuous improvement and cross-training.
