Job summary

Qualifications

Must be able to analyze specifications and select tooling according to grinding procedures.
Must study blueprints or layouts to visualize grinding and plan operations.
Knowledge of machining processes in carbide and ceramic industries.
Strong safety practices and clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Set up, program and operate CNC grinding machines according to procedures.
Complete documentation such as 8-Step Checklists, Route Sheets, SPC Charting and Non-Conformance Reports.
Communicate status of jobs to determine capacity and alternate routes.
Assist others in setup and monitor flow, parts per hour and time remaining.
Select tooling and fixturing, write CNC programs (G-Code, MasterCAM).
Verify dimensions with micrometers, calipers, CMMs and inspection equipment.
