Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC hires a CNC Grinder & Broaching Operator to manufacture high-precision components with advanced grinding and broaching equipment. You will ensure tolerances, quality and on-time production, while minimizing downtime.

Expect to set up machines, manage tooling and offsets, and monitor tooling wear. The role requires safety compliance and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of CNC Milling, Drilling or Grinding experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Siemens or FANUC controls preferred.
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings and specs.
• Ability to obtain forklift and critical lift crane certifications.
• ACT WorkKeys Silver level pre-hire assessment supported by Siemens Energy.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate high-precision machinery (Mägerle, Gleason, broaching equipment).
• Manage tool setting, offsets, feeds, speeds and wear for part integrity.
• Monitor coolant flow and chip development for optimal machining.
• Verify work with precision gauges against drawings and specs.
• Configure tooling to meet high-accuracy requirements.
• Move components safely using forklifts and cranes following lifts protocols.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and adjust parameters for output.
