Job summary

Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC is hiring for Lathe Machinist, Vertical Boring Mill, and Horizontal Boring Mill roles to plan, lay out, manufacture, modify, repair and assemble a wide range of fixtures and machine tools, using CNC and manual equipment.

You will work under limited supervision, collaborating with customers to develop tooling and fixtures while applying both conventional and non-conventional manual and CNC processes in a climate-controlled factory setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of tool room experience or GD&T knowledge required.
• CNC experience with Lathe, VBM, or HBM; proficiency in metrology.
• Ability to read complex drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Career Readiness/Work Keys Certificate - Silver Status required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC equipment for various machining operations.
• Program and operate CNC VBM, Lathe, and HBM with various control software.
• Read blueprints and verify parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Modify and assemble fixtures and tooling per design.
• Maintain quality and safety standards in a climate-controlled factory environment.
