Job summary

Responsibilities include metrology, running machines per standard work, reading prints, maintaining coolant, performing setup and offsets, and ensuring quality with 5S and safe practices.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and part prints.
• Ability to understand coordinate planes and interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of set up and adjustment of inserts, and various stock and insert types.
• Ability to read calipers and measuring devices for quality checks.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Use metrology to validate quality on all machined components.
• Run machines efficiently based on daily standard work.
• Check parts via company systems with high detail.
• Utilize machine monitoring software and set material stick out.
• Set up coolant lines and maintain coolant concentration and tool life.
• Read prints with accuracy and set up offsets to target parts.
• Document abnormalities and sustain a high performance worksite with 5S.
• Ensure safety practices and attend to maintenance alarms.
