Job summary

Doncasters in Oxford, AL is seeking a CMM Operator to perform precision dimensional inspections on aerospace castings and machined components using CMM and traditional inspection tools. The role supports quality compliance with GD&T and customer specifications.

The successful candidate will read and interpret engineering drawings, operate precision measuring instruments, and may work with CMM programming to troubleshoot and improve inspection processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and ideally experience in blueprint interpretation and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing of metallic materials.
• Excellent understanding of data sheets, shop math and be able to solve right angle trigonometric problems and those who are proficient in exporting data to Excel for statistical evaluation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency using precision measuring instruments.
• Experience with CMM programming and troubleshooting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision dimensional inspections on aerospace castings and machined components using CMM and conventional inspection equipment.
• Ensure products meet engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, customer specifications and internal quality standards.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering and Production to maintain product conformity and support continuous improvement.
