Job summary

Qualifications

• Interpret engineering drawings and models to determine conformance.
• Operate CMM and inspection equipment to inspect parts/assemblies.
• Create and maintain inspection reports and quality documentation.
• Support RCCA investigations and provide feedback to Engineering.
• Communicate with internal teams, FAA reps, auditors or customers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering requirements using 2D drawings, Catia, and other 3D models to determine part conformance.
• Operate CMM and other digital and manual inspection equipment to inspect parts and assemblies.
• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections; complete First Article Inspections (FAI) and related documentation.
• Inspect parts to ensure compliance with appearance, function, tolerances, dimensions, and specifications.
• Generate and maintain accurate inspection reports and quality documentation.
• Support Quality Engineers in RCCA investigations and provide feedback to Engineering on design or process issues.
• Interpret and conform to new model engineering changes, providing feedback as required.
• Communicate with FAA representatives, external auditors, and customers when necessary.
• Assist with internal audits and compliance to quality procedures and standards.
• Maintain certifications or qualifications appropriate to assigned inspection areas.
