Job summary

Accurus Aerospace Kent, LLC seeks an Inspector to join the Quality Department. You will perform in-process and final inspections of machined aerospace parts and assemblies, document approvals and nonconformances, and support root-cause analysis and process improvements.

Qualifications

• A high School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
• Associate degree or similar post-secondary or vocational training in a related field is preferred
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a QA inspection for machined parts and/or assemblies is required; aerospace industry experience is preferred. A combination of related experience in manufacturing for aerospace and internal training for inspectors may be considered in place of inspection experience
• CMM experience is required,experience in CMM Manager preferred
• CMM programming experience a plus
• Excel and ERP system experience a plus
• Demonstrated accuracy in reading blueprints, planning and engineering documents, quality standards, customer specifications
• Advanced mathematical skills and familiarity with geometric tolerances
• Experience reading precision measuring instruments (mics, calipers, height gauges)
• Understanding of nonconforming product
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing (English)

Responsibilities

• Determines and utilizes inspection methods and instruments to complete in-process and final inspection of machined aerospace parts and assemblies
• Initiates nonconformance records and disposition of parts not meeting requirements
• Strives to improve inspection effectiveness and efficiency via process improvements
• Communicates effectively with internal and external personnel to identify root causes and address non-conforming parts and re-work
• Completes other duties as required
• Regular attendance on-site at the workplace is required
