Job summary

The Client is seeking a detail-oriented CMM / Quality Inspector to join a precision manufacturing environment. You will inspect components using CMMs, micrometers, calipers, and GD&T as per engineered drawings.

You will support receiving, in-process, and final inspections, document results, and communicate quality concerns to manufacturing and engineering teams. Strong documentation and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Operate CMM equipment and precision measuring instruments.
• Document inspection results and maintain traceable records.
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to resolve dimensional issues.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CMM equipment to inspect parts against drawings and specs.
• Run approved CMM programs, review measurement results, and identify out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Perform receiving, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision tools.
• Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and customer requirements.
• Verify part identification, revision levels, and required inspection documentation.
• Record inspection results accurately and maintain traceable quality records.
• Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming material.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve dimensional issues and verify calibration status.
• Support first article inspections and corrective action investigations as needed.
