Job summary

Sanmina Newark, California facility seeks a production technician to support manufacturing operations, working with engineers on set-up and calibration, and performing rework and quality testing of parts and assemblies. You will read schematics and drawings, operate equipment per instructions, assemble components, and participate in process improvements to ensure products meet specifications.

This ITAR facility requires US citizenship or lawful permanent residency, and Sanmina offers

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years related experience in production or manufacturing.
• High school diploma and college courses preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under supervision.
• Read and interpret prints, drawings, schematics and process documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing operations with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, and rework and quality testing of parts and final assemblies.
• Use programs to collect and evaluate operating data for on-line adjustments to products or equipment.
• Develop methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.
• Read schematics, blueprints, product manuals and process documents to gather information on parts and tools.
• Set up, arrange and operate equipment per supervisor instructions.
• Assemble parts or components to build a complete product.
• Contribute to fitting, building or reconstructions to ensure smooth component amalgamation.
• Perform regular tests and inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
