Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Clean Room Medical Device Assembler in Maplewood, MN to join a contract role on the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 3:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m.). The role involves assembling and packaging French catheters in a controlled clean room environment, following detailed work instructions and quality standards.

You will use microscopes and small hand tools, perform multi-stage builds up to 17 steps, and participate in cross-training across product lines while maintaining high accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of medical assembly experience.
• 6+ months of microscope use in assembly/inspection.
• 6+ months of using basic hand tools (tweezers, cutters, pliers).
• Demonstrated hand dexterity and precision in manual/hand assembly.
• Ability and willingness to learn across multiple product lines and areas.
• Follow detailed work instructions and quality procedures.
• Willingness to work a 2nd shift Mon-Thu, 3:00 p.m.–1:30 a.m., through Aug 2026.

Responsibilities

• Assemble a variety of French catheters in a clean room environment following detailed work instructions and production documentation.
• Perform basic assembly of catheter components, including stringing catheters, reflow processes, and building guidewires and related assemblies.
• Use small hand tools, tweezers, cutters, pliers and microscopes to complete precise and complex tasks.
• Carry out manual hand assembly tasks such as braiding, stretching and pulling catheters by hand while maintaining quality.
• Work through multi-stage builds up to 17 steps, ensuring each stage meets quality and safety requirements.
• Conduct visual inspection of components and finished products, both with the naked eye and under a microscope.
• Perform final packaging with correct labeling in compliance with clean room standards.
• Follow gowning and contamination control protocols to maintain a controlled production environment.
• Adhere to all work instructions and quality guidelines related to medical device assembly and inspection.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and support continuous improvement.
• Participate in cross-training across various assembly areas and product types.
• Record production data using basic computer skills and follow electronic work instructions.
• Support general production, packaging and inspection activities to ensure on-time delivery.
• Sign required lock-down documentation prior to starting.
