Job summary

Silver King Beverage Co. is seeking a machine operator to run and monitor can-forming equipment, perform quality checks, load materials, and troubleshoot downtime. You will support maintenance tasks, maintain records, and uphold 5S practices.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years related experience and/or training.
• Experience as a machine operator in manufacturing, preferably metal packaging or can making.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor equipment such as can forming machines, presses, trimmers, liners, and other can making machinery.
• Inspect finished cans for defects and ensure proper dimensions to maintain quality.
• Load raw materials, monitor material supply, and keep production flowing smoothly.
• Set up machines, adjust settings, troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Assist maintenance technicians with routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Optimize performance, minimize waste, maximize production while upholding quality.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE to maintain a safe workplace.
• Maintain production records, log downtime, and communicate with supervisors and team.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping and ensure a clean, organized work area.
• Complete daily housekeeping tasks and contribute to safety/quality improvements.
