Job summary

Hirecruiting in Montgomery, Alabama seeks a CAD Drafter to create 3D models and 2D drawings, ensuring accuracy with ASME Y14.5 standards and GD&T. You will update BOMs and specifications, process change requests, and support manufacturing and product launches.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in Drafting or related field, proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, with experience in engineering environments and precision measurement tools.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software, SolidWorks preferred.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 drafting standards and GD&T.
• Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and 2D drawings from measurements, sketches, and laser scan data.
• Process engineering change requests using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Apply ASME Y14.5 standards, including GD&T, to develop/revise drawings.
• Maintain/update Bills of Materials (BOMs) with part numbers, revisions, and release data.
• Develop technical specification documentation for internal/external use.
• Support change management to ensure configuration control and data accuracy.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and cross-functional teams.
• Assist in design, development, and launch of product improvements in regulatory/customer requirements.
• Support certification activities and testing documentation for regulated products.
