Job summary

Autocam, a division of NN, Inc., is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Designer to produce working drawings for manufacturing. You will design tooling from sketches, interpret customer drawings, and apply GD&T to ensure accurate documentation and tool layouts.

Collaboration with Quality and continuous improvement teams is expected. The role requires CAD experience or SolidWorks certification, an engineering design degree or higher, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of CAD experience or SolidWorks Certification and/or Associate’s Degree or higher in Engineering Design.
• Able to remain productive under indirect supervision and follow verbal and written instructions and techniques.
• Proficient in standard Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Design tooling from rough sketches and concepts.
• Interpret customer drawings and translate them into the company’s technical format.
• Apply GD&T to technical documents.
• Create and modify Operation Control Plans, Tool Information Sheet layouts, tool drawings and floor layouts.
• Assist Quality in designing and documenting gaging.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
