Job summary

Milwaukee Steel Rule Dies in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced CAD Programmer/Designer to prepare and modify customer-supplied design files for flat steel rule dies and tooling for folding carton and other die cutting applications.

You will work from drawings and files (DXF, EPS, CIM, DDE, AI, vector PDFs), verify dimensions and tooling details, and produce production-ready laser files while coordinating with service and production to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Direct steel rule die design experience is required.
• Proficiency in Impact CAD or Cimex/CimPACK; ArtiosCAD experience is a plus.
• Read drawings and technical specs to verify tooling dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify flat cutting dies, counters, and stripping tools.
• Work from customer drawings and files (DXF, EPS, CIM, DDE, AI, PDFs) and verify dimensions.
• Prepare accurate production and laser files and complete quality checklists.
• Coordinate with customer service and production to meet delivery dates.
