Job summary

Award Staffing is seeking a Break Press Operator for the 1st shift in Fridley, MN. The position is temp to hire, with a pay rate of $25.00-$30.00 per hour and a schedule of Monday–Thursday 5:30AM-4PM.

You will load materials, operate break press machinery, and uphold safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic math, good communication, and at least 2 years of break press or transferable experience.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read and interpret project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand project specifications, use the computer interface, load materials, and ensure safety and product quality.
• Establish and maintain a high level of machinery knowledge.
• Form metal parts according to project specifications.
• Track quantity and quality of work.
• Prep parts for next production steps.
• Ensure that the machinery is performing as intended.
• Keep a clean, orderly work area.
• Work safely and always wear personal protective equipment.
• Take instructions from shift leads and more experienced operators.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
