Job summary

The Brake Press Operator at thyssenkrupp Materials NA will set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual brake press equipment to bend, form, and shape metal components in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires reading blueprints, selecting tooling, and ensuring quality and safety while meeting production targets. Shift is 3rd (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM) with a pay range of $21.00 - $22.00 per hour plus a $0.75/hour shift premium.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience operating brake presses in a metal fabrication/manufacturing setting preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
• Experience with steel, aluminum, or stainless steel is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate brake press equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Select tooling and adjust machine settings as required.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Use measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures.
• Safely handle materials and finished products.
• Perform basic equipment inspections and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Meet production and quality targets.
