Job summary

Crenlo is seeking a Brake Press Operator for the 3rd shift to ensure safety, quality and productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will follow work orders, set up machines, inspect first pieces, and move finished material through finishing stages according to blueprints.

You will perform routine maintenance, document results, and adhere to OSHA safety standards while handling pallets and tagging materials.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead by example, coach and train.
• Able to read prints and log documentation accurately.
• Knowledge of machine processes and steel defects.
• Ability to write accurate reject reports.
• Basic writing and math skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions.
• Ability to solve problems with a few concrete variables.
• Able to read tape measures and blueprints.
• Able to read and comprehend instructions and short correspondence.
• Able to read all measuring devices.
• Understand safety training and procedures manuals.
• Perform quality checks and surface inspection.
• Forklift license and driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Receives instructions, materials, prints, and work orders.
• Plans details of working procedure.
• Stages material in the work area.
• Performs routine maintenance and machine setup as needed.
• Operates machine per blueprint specifications.
• Performs first piece inspection to verify tolerances.
• Adjusts machine to meet tolerances.
• Runs sequential pieces and multiple operations.
• Performs periodic part inspections as instructed.
• Pallets finished material and labels with job details.
• Marks pallets and completes paperwork.
• Moves material to next destination.
• Other duties as assigned.
