Job summary

Aerotek in Kent, OH is seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join the team. You will operate CNC and manual brake press machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.

The role requires setting up machines, reading blueprints, running programs, and inspecting parts with precision tools. This is a contract-to-hire, onsite position with a two-shift schedule and a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating brake press equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong shop math skills.
• Experience using precision measuring tools.
• Ability to operate lifts or cranes.
• Prior manufacturing experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with noise and heat.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Set up brake press machines with the correct materials, tools, and dies.
• Adjust machine settings to meet required specs and tolerances.
• Run CNC and/or manual brake press machines, including making or editing programs as needed.
• Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to produce accurate parts.
• Check production using measuring tools like calipers and gauges.
• Ensure all parts meet quality standards and requirements.
• Move finished parts safely using cranes, hoists, or other lifting equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to all safety rules and procedures.
