Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Brake Press Operator for 1st shift in Waterville, OH. The role involves setting up and operating brake presses, CNC plasma cutters, and bandsaws to fabricate parts per blueprints. You will perform quality checks, use a crane to move parts, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

The position is contract to hire with hourly pay ranging from $20.00 to $25.00, depending on experience and location. This union-enabled shop emphasizes safety and production efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Experience performing quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Background in metal fabrication or machine shop environments.
• Ability to work safely and maintain organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Operate bandsaw to cut material per blueprints.
• Set up and operate CNC press brake to form parts.
• Operate CNC plasma cutter to cut stock per drawings.
• Load, offload, and organize parts for processing and shipment.
• Sort parts onto carts and pallets to support workflow.
• Use deburring equipment to remove burrs and sharp edges.
• Operate overhead crane to move parts and materials.
• Perform quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Follow blueprints and drawings to meet specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and collaborate with team.
