Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Bonding Operator to operate automatic bonding equipment in a production environment in Bellwood, IL. You will follow setup procedures, monitor machine performance, adjust settings, and inspect parts to ensure quality standards are met.

Responsibilities include material handling, data entry, and producing reports while maintaining clean work areas and adhering to safety rules.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English.
• Experience with SPC or quality data is a plus.
• Ability to follow setup and changeover procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and validate setup.
• Check and adjust machine settings (temp, pressure, cycle time).
• Operate machines, load parts, inspect first run samples.
• Monitor operation and adjust to meet quality standards.
• Respond to alarms and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Replace defective components as required.
• Perform SPC processes as required.
• Visually inspect parts and log data.
• Change over machines for different parts.
• Prepare production and scrap reports.
• Pack parts and label shipments.
• Move materials to/from staging/shipping.
• Maintain clean work area and notify supervisors of issues.
