Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a detail-oriented production technician to set up assembly equipment, qualify runs, and support efficient manufacturing. You will load and unload machines, adjust tooling, and maintain safety and quality standards to meet production goals.

The role requires the ability to read basic blueprints, perform shop math, and work effectively in a team within a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma is preferred, with opportunities for growth across our global operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read basic blueprints and follow procedure
• Daily use of hand tools and production equipment
• Basic shop math including decimals and fractions

Responsibilities

• Set up assembly equipment by adjusting tools and controls per procedures and standards.
• Qualify run for first piece approval.
• Load/unload machines using proper handling equipment.
• Operate equipment to achieve production and quality targets.
• Make adjustments and replace tools or parts as required.
• Use hand tools and gauges as needed.
• Maintain fluid levels and report issues to maintenance promptly.
• Transport materials using proper handling methods.
• Keep workspace organized and clean; maintain tools, equipment and materials.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies and quality controls.
• Perform other duties as needed.
