Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in Colorado is seeking a Body Shop Mechanic to repair or replace damaged body parts to pre-accident condition following factory specs. You will review repair orders, perform teardowns, and ensure workmanship meets I-CAR standards before painting.

A successful candidate has three years of body shop experience and holds an ICAR Welding Certificate, with CDL/Medical card preferred but not required. Competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Three years’ body shop experience.
• ICAR Welding Certificate.
• CDL and Medical card preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review repair orders and notes to understand repairs needed.
• Perform repairs per the repair order or supplement.
• Use frame and measuring equipment per vendor procedures.
• Perform initial teardown of vehicle.
• Identify parts for cut-in and edging.
• Perform all repair procedures to factory specifications and I-Car Standard.
• Sign off on all quality checks before sending vehicle to paint department.
• Re-assemble painted vehicle and painted parts.
• Perform a final quality check and review of work order before sending the vehicle to the detail department.
• Work with apprentice or lesser skilled technicians in developing repair skills.
