Job summary

IFS Industries, Inc. is seeking reliable manufacturing operators for the hotmelt department in Garland, TX. Positions are available on 2nd and 3rd shifts with shift differential.

You will follow formulas, weigh and stage materials, operate equipment, and log batch data while maintaining quality and safety. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and be comfortable in a hot, dusty environment using PPE.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused with PPE compliance and training
• English reading/writing/speaking sufficient to log data
• Ability to lift 55 lb bags repeatedly and stand for 8 hours
• Solid basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide)
• Comfort in hot, dusty environments while wearing PPE
• Reliable transportation and dependability
• Willingness to learn Lean Manufacturing and safe forklift operation
• High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Follow formulas and work orders to determine materials, quantities, and process sequence.
• Weigh, stage, and transfer materials; maintain drum markings and perpetual inventory using scan guns.
• Operate equipment, monitor conditions, and report malfunctions immediately.
• Document batch data: weights, product types, dates, and batch numbers; record time and temperature per ticket.
• Inspect materials, products, and containers at each step to protect quality.
• Cross-train across the entire line and support cleaning of work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
