Job summary

IFS Industries, Inc. in Garland, TX is seeking a Production Operator to safely operate manufacturing product batches and support efficient production processes on 2nd shift (1:45 P.M. - 10:15 P.M.). You will read work orders, weigh materials, monitor quality, and document batch details while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

The role requires basic math, the ability to follow SOPs, and effective communication in English. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred; respirator use is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
• Speak, read and write English effectively
• Physically able to work 8 hrs shifts

Responsibilities

• Cross-trained to perform multiple manufacturing functions
• Operate production machinery and equipment according to SOPs
• Monitor production lines for efficiency and quality
• Perform routine equipment checks and basic troubleshooting
• Follow safety, environmental, and quality regulations
• Start machine and report malfunctions
• Read work orders or formulas to determine materials and procedures
• Weigh materials and load into vats or mixing pots
• Record weights, product type, date and batch number
• Maintain inventory accuracy on batch sheets
• Conduct quality checks during production
• Package finished products
• Place materials on scales and adjust weights
• Transfer materials to production or storage areas
• Inspect materials, products, and containers at each step
• Maintain 5S housekeeping and clean work area
• Report hazards to supervisors
• Assist with machine changeovers and setup
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality and production teams
• Clean machines and tools
