Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Ability to pass a basic mechanical aptitude assessment.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, machine operation, or mechanical environment preferred.
• Experience operating mechanical equipment is beneficial.
• Ability to perform basic math and measurements.
• Ability to read manufacturing paperwork, drawings, diagrams, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and product quality.
• Comfortable working with automated and semi-automated equipment, mechanical tools, and powered hand tools.
• Basic computer skills.
• Comfortable performing repetitive production work and following established processes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable and safety-focused.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated, semi-automated, and mechanical production equipment.
• Use go/no-go gauges and other measuring tools to inspect material for straightness and quality.
• Operate a hydraulic press to straighten material to required specifications.
• Operate automated and semi-automated grinding equipment.
• Inspect products using job-specific gauges and quality standards.
• Operate a laser engraver to properly mark finished products.
• Package and box completed products.
• Record completed work and production activity in an ERP system using a computer or tablet.
• Complete required inspection, maintenance, inventory, and safety documentation.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing standards.
• Collaborate with production team members and supervisors to achieve production and quality goals.
