Job summary

BARNES GROUP is seeking Production Operators in Ohio to support aerospace manufacturing. You will inspect parts for defects and use precision tools to verify tolerances, and you will deburr, rework, and hand adjust components as needed.

The position requires basic math, clear communication, and the ability to follow complex instructions in a fast-paced shop environment. Prior experience is valued but not required for highly motivated candidates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of experience in a production/shop position.
• Ability to perform advanced math operations and work with fractions/decimals.
• Clear written and verbal communication with all levels of personnel.
• Ability to follow complex instructions and plan actions.
• Strong time management to complete assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of parts for nicks, burrs and flaws and repair if possible.
• Operate equipment and precision measuring tools to verify tolerances.
• Operate deburr tools and grit blaster for first run and rework parts.
• Hand adjust parts to make corrections.
