Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions is seeking a Band Operator for our Greencastle, PA plant. You will support the production line by selecting sheet types, operating forklifts and cranes, feeding sheet metal into rolls, and performing welds and quality paperwork.

The role emphasizes precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and daily shift routines. Training is provided, with opportunities for hands-on development in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with precision instruments.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Receives instructions and schedules from plant supervision.
• Adheres to Contech’s Employee Expectations.
• Completes pre-shift daily audit.
• Selects correct sheet type/length based off of daily band schedule.
• Operates Forklift, coil buggy, or overhead crane to position sheets at rolls.
• Adjusts rolls to form correct diameter.
• Feeds band sheet into roll form.
• Spot welds or hand welds various types of fasteners to formed band sheet.
• Paints welds if necessary.
• Moves finished product to designated areas.
• Completes production/quality control paperwork.
• Completes post-shift daily paperwork.
• Maintains equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Other duties assigned.
