Job summary

CarMax is hiring a Mechanical Associate in West Point, Virginia. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet safety and quality standards, from engines to brakes and suspensions.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong health and safety compliance knowledge.
• Able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• ASE certifications in Steering and Suspension, Brakes, Heating/Air Conditioning, Electrical, Engine Repair, Manual Drive Train and Axles, Engine Performance, and Automatic Trans.
• Valid driver’s license is required where law dictates.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to meet CarMax quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with a skilled team to solve technical challenges quickly and effectively.
• Gain hands-on experience across domestic and foreign vehicles.
• Uphold CarMax's commitment to customer satisfaction and trust.
• Follow EH&S requirements and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
