Job summary

CarMax in West Point, Virginia, is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles, ensuring safety and reliability. You’ll work with a collaborative team using advanced tools in a climate-controlled facility, with ongoing training and growth opportunities.

You will handle engines, brakes, steering, and suspension, while adhering to EH&S standards and delivering customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver's license.
Maintain ASE Certifications as listed (A4, A5, A7, A6, A1, A3, A8, A2) where required.
