Job summary

Catalyst Exhibits is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to apply protective and decorative coatings on metal surfaces in a manufacturing setting. You will prepare surfaces, mix coatings, operate spray equipment, and ensure finishes meet specifications and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in industrial painting, knowledge of coating systems such as epoxy and polyurethane, and the ability to read blueprints and color codes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in industrial, automotive, or equipment painting.
• HS diploma or GED; vocational training preferred.
• Experience with epoxy, polyurethane, enamel, and powder coatings.
• Able to read blueprints and color codes; understands paint ratios and viscosity.
• Comfort with respiratory protection and chemical safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, grinding, masking, sandblasting, or chemical treatment.
• Mix and apply primers, paints, and coatings using spray guns, brushes, or rollers.
• Select and match paint colors and finishes to specifications.
• Maintain and operate spray booths, ventilation systems, and other painting equipment.
• Inspect surfaces for defects and perform touch-ups or refinishing as necessary.
• Follow curing procedures and drying schedules for different paint types.
• Ensure safety standards and proper use of PPE and ventilation.
• Keep work areas clean and organized; manage inventory of paints and tools.
• Work from blueprints and work orders to meet project specs.
