Job summary

Klein Tools is seeking candidates for first-shift production roles in a hands-on manufacturing environment in Texas. You will operate semi-automated equipment, perform light assembly, measure parts, and ensure quality throughout each production run.

Ideal candidates read blueprints, follow work orders, and log results while supporting lean initiatives. Overtime may be required; benefits include health coverage and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and related experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
• Ability to demonstrate basic math skills and perform visual quality inspections.
• Ability to demonstrate basic computer skills may be required depending on the equipment and the area the employee is responsible for.
• Ability to work overtime as needed by the company is required.

Responsibilities

• Run production jobs on semi-automated equipment and/or perform light assembly, packaging, press operations, or other manual tasks to produce quality parts.
• Inspect product for quality using measuring tools and record findings in log book.
• Read work orders and blueprints to identify specifications and ensure BOM accuracy and inventory transactions.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and communicate defects to technical staff as required.
• Report production counts, scrap, and labor hours through required paperwork or electronic entry.
• Adhere to 6S standards and participate in lean manufacturing activities to improve products and skills.
• Cross-train by rotating to different machines and work areas as required.
