Job summary

Klein Tools is seeking a capable production associate to run semi-automated equipment, perform light assembly, and ensure quality during production. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to procedures in a fast-paced environment.

You will read orders and blueprints, inspect output, log results, and collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals. Overtime may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
• Ability to perform basic math and conduct visual quality inspections.
• Basic computer skills may be required depending on equipment.
• Ability to learn, problem-solve, and make decisions per work instructions.
• Ability to communicate and work as a team member.
• Ability to work overtime as needed by the company.

Responsibilities

• Run production jobs on semi-automated equipment and perform light assembly, packaging, or other manual tasks.
• Inspect product quality throughout production using gauges and visual checks; log findings.
• Read work orders and blueprints to identify specs and verify materials and inventory accuracy.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report defects to technical staff.
• Record production counts, scrap, and labor hours in paperwork or digital logs.
• Follow 6S standards and participate in lean manufacturing activities.
• Cross-train by rotating to different machines and areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
