Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking an Assembly I to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products per customer specifications. You will set up work areas, handle parts and supplies, and use hand tools to complete assembly.

You will check quality, keep production records, maintain a clean work area, and help ensure safety and compliance with established procedures. Must be 18+, HS diploma preferred, no experience required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • No minimum experience required; 6 months in manufacturing/assembling preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

  • Completes work area setup.
  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
  • Stacks finished products in accordance with established procedures; may cover, label, and band components.
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized; equipment is safe to operate.
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports issues.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Maintains production records as required.
  • Checks materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
  • Performs duties in line with safety and quality procedures and standards.
  • Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
