Job summary

Socket.dev in Illinois is seeking an assembler/fabricator to meet quality standards and deadlines. You will assemble products, read manuals and blueprints, and follow safety procedures to prevent accidents. You must have good manual dexterity and read detailed instructions precisely. Power tools are a must, and welding experience is a bonus.

Forklift experience is required. Schedule: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30 PM. Pay: $19.00-$21 an hour.

Qualifications

Must read blueprints, drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Must be able to read & use a non-metric measuring tape.
Must be able to count & perform simple mathematics.

Responsibilities

Follow all PPE and safety procedures associated with the production area.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Achieve conformance to production goals, product quality, and cost.
Strong desire to learn and share manufacturing processes with the team.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Drill and tap holes in various metal parts.
Perform fabrication processes, including cutting, trimming, and fitting different components to complete assemblies according to customer specifications.
Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
Work with the team to ensure branch success and provide excellent customer service.
Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned.
