Major Tool & Machine (MTM) is seeking an Assembly Technician for the 2nd or 3rd shift in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves assembling components per customer orders and engineering routers, using hand tools, torque tools, and precision instruments.

The candidate should have a high school diploma and up to 1 year of trade school or apprenticeship experience; manufacturing experience is preferred. Safety and quality are emphasized, with a strong focus on clean, organized work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of trade school or apprenticeship preferred but not required.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Use torque wrenches and precision measuring instruments.
• Operate hand tools and other shop equipment such as grinders and drills.
• Install thread inserts and fasteners.
• Maintain clean and safe work area daily.
• Coordinate with supervisor and fellow workers.
