Job summary

Power-Flo Technologies Inc is seeking an assembler for our New Hyde Park shop. Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM, with a pay range of $18–$22/hour and a competitive benefits package including health coverage, PTO and holidays, 401K, ESOP, and EAP.

The role involves reading blueprints, material sourcing, measuring, cutting, assembling switchboard enclosures, preparing surfaces, and coordinating with the design team to complete switchgear packages. Valid NY driver''s license required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience or training in a shop/industrial setting.
• Mechanical inclination.
• Familiar with taking measurements and working with a ruler.
• Familiar with assembling components.
• Able to follow instructions in a proper manner.
• Familiar with shop tools (hand tools, power tools, etc).
• Valid and clean NY State driver''s license to operate company vehicles as needed.

Responsibilities

• Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project.
• Sourcing the materials to be used in the project.
• Measuring and cutting materials to specifications.
• Assembly of switchboard enclosures and interior electrical components.
• Preparing metal surfaces for finishing.
• Working with design team to complete switchgear packages.
• Checking finished work to ensure it falls within blueprint tolerances.
• Preparing completed packages for shipment.
