Job summary

Atlas Copco Compressors LLC -North America Customer Center in Rock Hill, SC, is seeking an Assembler to meticulously assemble, test, and finalize compressor units and packages. You will follow precise instructions, work closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Foremen, and the Team Leader Engineering to support low-volume, high-variability production processes.

You will read drawings, document work orders, and perform mechanical and electrical assembly with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of practical experience in mechanical and/or electrical assembly in heavy industrial settings.
• High school diploma required; vocational training or equivalent experience is a strong asset.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, schematics, and parts lists accurately.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude with strong attention to detail and quality.
• Able to work autonomously and in a team, with safety and quality in mind.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components into complete compressor systems following job travelers and BOMs.
• Document work orders in company systems with traceability.
• Perform precision assembly tasks such as mounting stages, gears, motors, piping, sensors, and control panels.
• Conduct tests and verify functionality; troubleshoot and implement corrective actions.
• Apply assembly materials and techniques to ensure durability and reliability.
• Maintain 5S practices and a safe, clean work environment.
• Complete self-inspections and report deviations or non-conformances.
