Job summary

Atlas Copco in Export, PA seeks an Assembler to build standard and custom vacuum systems using engineering documents and BOMs. You will perform mechanical assembly, basic electrical wiring, system testing, and prepare finished products for shipment.

Responsibilities include following drawings, wiring components, testing for leaks, and upholding quality within a Lean/6S manufacturing environment. On-site role with steady teamwork and safety focus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical or vocational degree preferred.
  • Less than one year of experience in mechanical, electromechanical, manufacturing, or assembly-related work.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on assembly work.

  • Perform mechanical assembly tasks, including bolting, drilling, tapping, and fitting components.
  • Complete basic electrical wiring and component connections.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Participate in safety training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Position Summary

As an Assembler, you will be responsible for building standard and custom vacuum systems using engineering documentation, drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs). This hands-on role includes mechanical assembly, basic electrical wiring, system testing, and preparing finished products for shipment.

To succeed, you will need
Required Qualifications

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Comfortable working in a Lean Manufacturing and 6S environment.
  • Basic computer skills are a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate overhead and jib cranes.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
