Job summary

UFP Industries in Ohio seeks an Assembler I to fabricate components and assemble finished products per customer specifications. You will secure parts and supplies, set up work areas, and maintain a clean, safe environment while following quality standards. The role involves manual assembly with hand tools, basic math, and adherence to production procedures.

A high school diploma is preferred, and no lengthy experience is required; 18+ age is a must. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
Basic math skills preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Completes work area setup.
Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
Stacks completed products and may cover, label, and band components finished product.
Ensures work area is safe, clean, organized and equipment is safe to operate.
Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems.
Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
Maintains production records as required.
Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
Performs duties per safety and quality procedures and participates in programs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
