Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a dependable General Assembler (EC) to support the assembly, inspection, and preparation of finished products at our Ohio facility. You will perform assembly operations, inspect quality, and ensure production targets are met in a safe, efficient manner.

Responsibilities include final assembly, QA inspections, tooling, documentation, and continuous improvement while adhering to 5S and safety standards. Prior assembly experience and basic tool skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, blueprints, or diagrams
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation

Responsibilities

• Final Assembly Operations: Perform assembly of components and subassemblies according to work instructions, blueprints, and standard operating procedures.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements; identify and report defects or discrepancies.
• Tool & Equipment Use: Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment required for final assembly processes.
• Production Efficiency: Meet daily production goals while maintaining accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
• Documentation: Accurately complete production records, checklists, and required documentation in a timely manner.
• Material Handling: Move materials and components within the work area using proper handling techniques and equipment.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Safety & Housekeeping: Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
