Job summary

BROTHERS Pro-Pave LLC is seeking a skilled Roller Operator in Florida to safely and efficiently operate breakdown, rubber tire and finish rollers. The role requires experience with asphalt materials, heavy equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include performing daily equipment checks, executing proper passes for compaction, and handling narrow-access areas with hand rollers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ of asphalt rolling experience.
• Knowledge of Rollers and other heavy equipment.
• 3+ experience within the asphalt industry.
• 2+ years’ experience operating Breakdown Rollers, Rubber Tire Rollers and/or Finish Rollers is required

Responsibilities

• Operate the roller and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
• Safely operate roller in successive overlapping passes over surfaces to be compacted, rolling subgrade and asphalt to desired compaction and smoothness.
• Determine speed and direction of machine, based on material compressibility and temperature changes to avoid ridges.
• Push hand roller and pound surfaces where access is limited.
• Operate self-propelled rollers to compact earth, subgrade and asphalt.
• Operate the Breakdown roller to masssage hot mix asphalt into place.
• Operate the Finish roller for final finish and to remove imperfections.
• Operate Pad Foot Roller, using vibrate when necessary.
• Operate Smooth Drum Roller to seal subgrade and base surfaces.
• Other heavy equipment duties as required
• Roller operators may also operate Steel Drum and Pad Foot Rollers.
• All other duties as assigned.
